As part of the ongoing Mercedes-Benz ‘Class of Creators’ campaign, KidSuper has transformed the Mercedes CLA into a unique work of art.
As part of his Spring/Summer 2026 show at Paris Fashion Week, KidSuper not only presented his new capsule collection, but also a symbolic automotive sculpture – the CLA has become a ‘superhero car’. The presentation was part of the ongoing Mercedes-Benz ‘Class of Creators’ campaign, which blends fashion, art and automotive design in a way never seen before.
A unique vehicle with charisma
Colm Dillane, known for his creative signature style and penchant for storytelling, transformed the new Mercedes-Benz CLA into a unique vehicle with charisma and wit.
Turbine wings, a rally-style roof rack, a childhood slingshot and playful balloon details meet design elements from iconic Mercedes models – including the futuristic F 200 (1996) style rims and rear-view mirrors reminiscent of the legendary 300 SL. The result is a superhero on four wheels – not only visually spectacular, but also a symbol of creative freedom and interdisciplinary energy.
Available from September: the exclusive KidSuper x Mercedes-Benz capsule collection.
In keeping with the CLA artwork, KidSuper also presented his exclusive capsule collection in Paris, which will go on sale in September. The 13-piece collection combines tailoring, retro accents and streetwear elements – inspired by the factory floor, the romance of mechanics and the pioneering spirit of the automobile. Jackets, shirts, trousers, trench coats, and accessories such as bags, hats and a suitcase combine KidSuper’s design language with iconic Mercedes-Benz elements.
The line uses materials such as cotton, canvas, jersey, wool and vegan leather. Eye-catching details include the historic Mercedes logo featuring on almost all pieces and a T‑shirt dedicated to the 1886 ‘Patent Motorwagen’.
‘Class of Creators’ – iconic brands as future partners
The collaboration with KidSuper is part of the Mercedes-Benz initiative, the ‘Class of Creators’, in which five creative minds from the worlds of fashion, music, design and gaming are given free rein to reinterpret the new CLA. After kicking off with rapper Ice Spice in New York and interior designer Gustaf Westman in London (also covered by us), Paris was the third stop. Future partners include the iconic brand Hot Wheels and esports platform Riot Games.
