In November, Paul Ullrich AG stores will be transformed into meeting places for whisky lovers from all over Switzerland. Liquid Whisky Days is all about diversity, craftsmanship and a passion for one of the most complex spirits there is.
Whether in Zurich, Basel, Bern, Morges or Chur – between 25 and 50 carefully selected bottlings will be available on these evenings. The spectrum ranges from peated Islay malts to spicy bourbons and fruity sherry cask maturations, reflecting the most important regions and styles. But the tastings are more than just tastings: they are meeting places where people can strike up conversations, share experiences and learn new things about distilleries, cask storage and the art of distillation.
Paul Ullrich AG, a fixture in the Swiss spirits trade for decades, sees the Liquid Whisky Days as a platform for exchange and discovery. Those who take the time will discover not only flavours, but also stories – from traditional family businesses in the Scottish Highlands to young distilleries in Japan or the USA. In addition to well-known names, there are also limited special bottlings and rarities that are otherwise hardly available. The organisers attach great importance to showing the whole spectrum – whisky as a craft, a cultural product and an expression of regional identity.
The result is evenings where knowledge, craftsmanship and enjoyment come together. Not a competition of strength or price, but an invitation to understand whisky more deeply – and perhaps to appreciate it in a new way.
