Three watches, three visions. These timepieces could not be more different, yet they all impress across the board.
While Omega offers discreet James Bond style, Piaget impresses with elegant gold optics and Louis Vuitton with imaginative design.
Omega in a new James Bond look
Those who followed the 2024 Olympic Games closely may have already spotted the first model of Omega’s new Seamaster Diver 300M. The chronograph adorned the wrist of actor and brand ambassador Daniel Craig, sparking a wave of curious inquiries from watch enthusiasts around the world. Their wait is now over. The legacy of the diving watch, which has been popular since 1993, is set to continue. The new Seamaster Diver 300M is particularly appealing due to its James Bond style design. Inspired by the famous agent’s watch, the latest model also features a domed sapphire crystal and a Milanese mesh bracelet in an elegant vintage look. Customers can choose between a black and a grey dial, as well as an alternative rubber strap.
Back to roots with Louis Vuitton’s Montgolfière Aéro
From suitcase packer to suitcase manufacturer: with the new Montgolfière Aéro watch, Louis Vuitton is paying tribute to its roots. The watch, in the shape of a hot air balloon, is reminiscent of the Aéro Trunk designed in 1906 – an innovative piece of luggage that could be attached to the basket of a hot air balloon. Admittedly, hot-air balloon trips are something of a rarity today, however, the nostalgic and adventurous flair really gets us dreaming. These pieces of jewellery attract attention as a table clock or float stylishly in the air as a ceiling clock.
Piaget Polo 79: an icon makes its comeback
A true icon returns: the Piaget Polo 79 was honoured in the‘Iconic’ category at the 2024 Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève. This watch undisputedly embodies the elegant and daring creativity that Piaget has stood for since its foundation. To mark the 150th anniversary of the Maison, this legendary watch is being reissued – with all the characteristic features that made it famous in the 1980s, but now with a contemporary twist. The focus here is on the flawless combination of bracelet and case – made of yellow gold with the distinctive, horizontally engraved‘gadroons’. Equipped with the ultra-thin, mechanical 1200P1 calibre instead of a quartz movement, the new version reflects the spirit of its origin, but is equipped with technical updates befitting of the latest generation. This watch is considered the highlight of the year for watch lovers worldwide and the Piaget Society, which, at a price of around 80,000 euros, does not come as a surprise.
