From 20 to 24 August 2025, around 150 artists from all over the world will present their works at the Swiss Art Expo 2025. The exhibition venue is one of the busiest public spaces in Switzerland: the Wannerhalle at Zurich’s main railway station. On display will be paintings, photography, sculptures, digital works and mixed media – deliberately stepping beyond the confines of traditional exhibition spaces.
This year marks the 7th edition of Swiss Art Expo. What makes this event special is that the exhibited art enters into dialogue with a passing audience – commuters, travellers, curious onlookers. It is this permeability that gives the Swiss Art Expo its unique profile. It makes art visible where you don’t expect it – without thresholds, without admission fees.
Analogue and digital
In addition to original works, modern forms of presentation are deployed: high-resolution screens show additional works, supplemented by QR codes providing background information. This digital extension enables international artists to gain visibility – and opens up new avenues for the audience.
ARTBOX.PROJECT Zurich 7.0
The curated ARTBOX.PROJECT Zurich 7.0 is an integral part of the exhibition. Ten finalists selected from an international competition will be exhibited both physically and digitally in Zurich – a platform for aspiring newcomers to the world of contemporary art.
Supporting programme & evening event
Throughout the exhibition, there will be live demonstrations, presentations of works, and personal discussions with the exhibiting artists. The highlight will be on Saturday evening (23 August), when the event will continue into the evening with music, performances, and encounters.
