Zürich Openair 2025

The popular Zürich Openair will take place on two weekends in August 2025, marking its 25th anniversary. The event spans various genres and attracts thousands of visitors to the city with its musical diversity. Artists performing include Canadian pop star Shawn Mendes, hip-hop icon Post Malone, the techno band Scooter and German rapper Apache. 49 bands and singers have already been confirmed. With a wide range of food stalls and entertainment options, visitors enjoy spending time in the extensive grounds. Music fans can get their hands on tickets now and look forward to immersing themselves in the world of electro, pop and rock for four days.

Longlake Festival Lugano

From 10 to 27 July, the LongLake Festival transforms the streets of Lugano into a lively open-air spectacle. As one of the largest urban open-air festivals in the country, it offers a varied programme every day with theatre performances, street art tours, concerts, markets and activities for the whole family. Musical highlights include Estival Jazz, which will delight visitors with jazz performances in the heart of the city from 10 to 12 July, and Blues to Bop, which celebrates blues music in Lugano from 18 to 19 July. Throughout the festival, there will be stalls offering a variety of delicious food. And best of all, the festival is free for all visitors.

Montreux Jazz Festival

It will be a bittersweet goodbye. In 2025, the Montreux Jazz Festival takes place for the last time on the atmospheric Lake Stage of Lake Geneva before moving to the Convention Centre next year. Even more impressive than the location is this year’s line-up: with headliner Chaka Khan, soul singer Diana Ross and R&B legend Leon Bridges, unforgettable summer nights are guaranteed this year. Firmly rooted in the jazz, soul and blues tradition, the Montreux Jazz Festival now invites musicians from a wide range of genres to the shores of Lake Geneva. In 2025, internet sensation Benson Boone and Grammy-nominated singer Raye are exciting additions. Tickets are available now.

JazzAscona

The JazzAscona Festival has remained true to its roots and will transform the city into 1920s New Orleans from 26 June to 5 July 2025. In addition to Swiss artists such as Elina Duni and Silvan Zingg, there will also be high-profile visitors from America. Together with Adonis Rose from the New Orleans Jazz Orchestra, Phillip Manuel will thrill audiences with jazz, soul, blues and gospel. Admission to the festival is free, so there are no tickets and no queues – just a great atmosphere and phenomenal music.

Trucker & Country-Festival Interlaken

Trucker & Country Festival in Interlaken

Cowboy hats, trucks and sturdy leather boots as far as the eye can see. It might be hard to believe, but you’re not in the southern states of America, you’re at the Trucker & Country Festival in Interlaken. For three days, from 27 to 29 June 2025, the festival will be all things Wild West. The heart of the festival is the large Western village, where four outdoor stages provide plenty of entertainment. In addition to country rock, rockabilly and blues performances, cowboys and cowgirls can visit Western shows or shake a leg with line dancing. Sunday is Family Day with a special programme for little cowboys and cowgirls. Tickets for the Western extravaganza are available now.

Openair Frauenfeld

Openair Frauenfeld is one of the largest hip-hop festivals in Europe. The festival grounds will open their gates on 9 July 2025, with celebrations continuing into the early hours of Sunday, 13 July. This year’s headliners include pop star Justin Timberlake, who originally rose to fame as a member of the boy band *NSYNC and has been enjoying global success as a solo artist for many years. Justin Timberlake will be performing in Frauenfeld for the first time – in contrast to hip-hop legend 50 Cent, an artist who is very familiar to the festival’s loyal audience. The third headliner is expected to be US rapper Young Thug. The German-speaking rap and hip-hop scene will also be well represented. The festival places a strong focus on environmental sustainability – there will be an increased emphasis on green energy, locally sourced products, and visitors arriving by train will receive a discount on their tickets.

Luzern Live Festival

From 17 to 26 July 2025, musicians from all over the world will gather in Lucerne to delight audiences at the Lucerne Live Festival with music from a wide range of genres. The event offers free open-air shows and top-class live concerts, where jazz enthusiasts can look forward to performances by Yussef Dayes and the Ezra Collective. Indie pop fans will get their money’s worth with Sophie Hunger and Ry X. Tickets are currently available here. A range of food stalls will be serving Swiss delicacies and Italian and Asian street food at Europaplatz and the pavilion.
