Milan is becoming a design hotspot! The Salone del Mobile 2025 presents iconic brands, sustainable materials and groundbreaking innovations.

From 8 to 13 April 2025, Milan will once again become the stage for the international design elite, with a focus on innovation, sustainability, and creative vision. The Salone del Mobile, the world’s most prestigious furniture fair, will not only showcase groundbreaking trends but will also introduce iconic brands, unveiling their concepts for the future of design.

Casa Cork: Sustainability as an Immersive Experience

The Rockwell Group, in collaboration with the Cork Collective and Corticeira Amorim, presents an extraordinary installation in Milan: Casa Cork. Here, cork is more than just a sustainable material for furniture and interiors — it forms part of a multisensory journey, culminating in a monumental cork tree made from recycled bark. The exhibition features interactive galleries, a Touch & Feel” experience, a talk series on sustainable design, and a student competition showcasing the next generation of designers.

S‑CAB: New Perspectives on Indoor and Outdoor Design

At its new stand in Pavilion 18 (Stand E01), S‑CAB demonstrates how versatility and innovation go hand in hand in furniture design. In collaboration with Calvi Brambilla & Partners, a scene is set that highlights the connection between indoor and outdoor spaces. The latest collections include works by Zaven (Compasso d’Oro 2024), Maddalena Casadei, Alessandro Stabile, and Francesca Lanzavecchia, along with the debut of the Marisco rug, which fuses traditional Sardinian weaving techniques with modern materials.

Coralla Maiuri: Art and Design at Palazzo Litta

One of the most anticipated installations at Milan Design Week will be Coralla Maiuri’s exhibition in the historic Palazzo Litta. Known for her poetic interpretation of colour and materials, she presents handcrafted porcelain, silk velvet cushions, and minimalist steel coffee tables in her exhibition entitled Coralla’s Room”. The new Impressions Gold Collection transforms everyday motifs into luminous design objects, while the sculptural I Luminosi” coffee tables, featuring gently reflective surfaces, create an almost surreal atmosphere.

Kartell: Future Perspectives” and an Exclusive Look into the Archive

With Future Perspectives”, Kartell not only unveils new collections but also celebrates the 25th anniversary of the Kartell Museum by opening its archives to the public for the first time. The exhibition pays tribute to the iconic JOE COLOMBO Armchair, a piece of design history since the 1960s. Visitors can also discover the latest releases, including the A.I. Light Chair and Armchair, the Be Bop Chair with upholstery, and a new lamp by Tokujin Yoshioka. A special edition of the Kartell x Liberty collection also marks the 150th anniversary of the British heritage brand.

Kenneth Cobonpue: Nature as an Inspiration for Art and Design

Filipino designer Kenneth Cobonpue brings his unique approach to craftsmanship and technology, incorporating nature into interior spaces. Particularly worthy of note are two sculptural works:

  • Barnacle Wall Art, a handmade wall installation crafted from rice paper, inspired by marine structures and playing with light and shadow.
  • Curio Installation, a modern take on the Wunderkammern” (cabinets of curiosities) of the past, featuring wire-formed creatures floating inside a cylindrical frame.
