From 27 to 29 June 2025, golf fans will once again turn their attention to the Engadine. For three days, the Engadine Amateur Championship, the oldest golf tournament in the country, will be held at the course in Samedan. Often used pejoratively, the term amateur’ reveals its true meaning here. Derived from the Latin amare, meaning to love’ – in this case, the passion is for golf. The tournament is played over 54 holes. As part of the WAGR (World Amateur Golf Ranking), the participants’ performances are also included in an international amateur ranking.

Green means green: golf with a clear conscience

On the course in Samedan, you can feel the dedication with lush greenery nestled in a picturesque mountain panorama. In the morning, wild foxes roam the fairway alongside the first golfers of the day.
