The Design Museum in London is hosting the first solo exhibition by the celebrated British designer Bethan Laura Wood to be held in a British museum. More than 70 works – from iconic designs to new pieces – celebrate her radical and colourful design world. The exhibition marks the launch of the new annual series under the name PLATFORM, which is dedicated to contemporary design.
Extravagance you can reach out and touch
Wood’s works, which are characterised by bright colours, sophisticated patterns, and innovative materials, range from painted tea cups to modular furniture. Her fascinating world of objects, decorations, and stagings can be experienced through three thematic areas – Desire, Adornment, and Hyperreality. A must-see for any design enthusiast!
