Porsche Italia is celebrating its 40th anniversary in iconic style. In collaboration with Ferragamo, two strictly limited special models have been created – and a new unique colour: ‘blusogno’, a special edition that will only be launched in Italy.
Together with the traditional Florentine company Ferragamo, Porsche Italia has created two strictly limited edition special models that redefine luxury on four wheels – the 911 Carrera 4 GTS and the all-electric Taycan 4S in the special ‘40 Anni Porsche Italia’ edition.
What happens when two brands synonymous with uncompromising quality and design-driven craftsmanship join forces? A statement on wheels. In the specially developed colour ‘blusogno’ – a deep, velvety shade of blue that exudes character – automotive engineering and Italian fashion poetry combine to create a new form of understatement.
Sporty appearance with haute couture flair
The idea was not to be loud – but rather precise. Not to reinvent, but to refine. Porsche brings its iconic style, Ferragamo its subtle sophistication. The result? A sporty appearance with couture flair. From white fine lines that follow the airflow to hand-painted rims featuring fine pinstripes – every detail speaks of closeness, exchange and shared creative thinking.
In the interior, hand-dyed leather in ‘blusogno’ meets blue-dyed Paldao wood – a bold yet harmonious mix of materials inspired by Ferragamo’s love of experimentation with natural materials. The workmanship? Flawless. The signatures? Tangible, visible, palpable – from the aluminium ‘40 Anni Porsche Italia’ logo to the subtly illuminated Ferragamo lettering in the door frame.
‘Like Ferragamo, Porsche is characterised by a signature design style that is timelessly elegant. We have taken this minimalist, purist approach to the extreme in the “40 Anni Porsche Italia” edition models,” says Grant Larson, Head of Special Projects Design at Porsche.
Two dreams – one common goal
It is almost poetic how the two brand founders mirror one another in terms of their history. One – Salvatore Ferragamo – became world-famous as the “shoemaker of dreams”. The other – Ferry Porsche – pursued his dream of the perfect sports car with uncompromising dedication. Today, decades later, the two have merged to create an edition that is more than just a car: a mobile tribute to Italian lifestyle and German precision.
A unique design object: exclusive to Italy
The special edition models are strictly limited and are only available on the Italian market. A conscious commitment to heritage, craftsmanship, and cultural dialogue between Zuffenhausen and Florence. For what has been created here cannot simply be copied – it is a design object with soul.
