If you are looking for inspiration for your next outfit, you might find it in a museum or two. Here are our highlights from the list of fashion exhibitions taking place in 2025.

With Fashion & Interiors. A Gendered Affair.’, the MoMu will be dedicating itself to the relationship between fashion, interior design, and gender roles. The exhibition spans an arc from the 19th-century bourgeois lady who merged with her interior featuring draped fabrics and ornamental textiles, to the functional design of modernists such as Lilly Reich and Le Corbusier, while not forgetting the contemporary creations of Raf Simons and Maison Margiela.

Showtime for Vogue

Tension is in the air, models await their cue, celebrities take their seats – what we will be wearing next summer is about to be decided! Fashion shows are the ultimate event in the fashion world. The immersive exhibition entitled VOGUE: Inventing the Runway’ offers a front-row seat and a glimpse behind the scenes – from 20th-century couture salons to contemporary visions. More than 60 designers from around the world are on display.

LOVE Fashion’: Expressing Yourself in Style

What do our clothes say about us? LOVE Fashion: In Search of Myself’ uses 100 garments, 20 accessories, and 40 artworks spanning three centuries to show how ideals of beauty, virtual reality, a love of nature, and the search for identity have changed the fashion world. Insights are provided by works from designers ranging from Alexander McQueen to Rei Kawakubo.

Yves Saint Laurent’s Flowers cutting a good figure

Yves Saint Laurent incorporated floral designs into his very first Spring/​Summer collection in 1962. Inspired by Marcel Proust’s floral metaphors and artists such as Pierre Bonnard, flowers were a recurring theme throughout his career. Les Fleurs d’Yves Saint Laurent’ showcases over 30 iconic dresses and drawings featuring floral embroidery and prints. Particularly beautiful: the wedding dress from the 1999 Spring/​Summer collection, adorned with roses, and the headdress sketches created for Baron Alexis de Redé’s​‘Bal des Têtes’ in 1957.
