From a simple but original concept, a hotel with an exclusive art collection has emerged.
It all began with Georges Braque and Fernand Léger. Shortly afterwards, the then equally unknown artists Marc Chagall, Alexander Calder, Renoir and Picasso also discovered the ‘Golden Dove’, hidden away among the hills of Provence. The owners’ concept: meals and lodging in exchange for art.
And now the hotel guests are reaping the rewards of this brilliant business deal – in the form of the Picasso flower vase, a clattering Calder mobile or the Léger mural by the pool. In the rooms and in the restaurant, you can dine and sleep with Yves Klein, Henri Matisse and Wassily Kandinsky. Phenomenal!
