Some cars don’t just drive – they demand attention. With the Temerario, Lamborghini consistently continues its “Essential & Iconic” design language. As the successor to the Huracán, it marks less an evolution than a noticeable turning point. “We give adrenaline a shape,” says chief designer Mitja Borkert, describing a vehicle that pushes the boundaries between a super sports car and an aircraft even further.
Even from a distance, its origin is unmistakable. The silhouette remains unmistakably Lamborghini: angular, taut, uncompromising. What is new is the consistent refinement of individual design elements. While the Revuelto works with the Ypsilon motif, the Temerario adopts the hexagon as its defining feature. The hexagonal daytime running lights are not just a visual statement, but an integral part of the aerodynamics.
At the rear, the technical approach becomes particularly evident. The exposed diffuser, the open wheel design and the clean lines give the car an almost raw appearance. The new 4.0‑litre V8 twin-turbo hybrid is also deliberately staged as a visible element. With a system output of 920 hp and a rev limit of 10,000 rpm, the focus is clearly on performance – both technically and visually.
Cockpit: control instead of spectacle
Inside, the focus shifts from pure display to usability. The driver is at the centre, not the interface. The newly developed steering wheel integrates four rotary switches, allowing direct selection of a total of 13 driving modes as well as hybrid control – without taking hands off the wheel. Digital systems such as the “Lamborghini Vision Unit” operate in the background, while physical interaction is deliberately preserved. Start button under a red cover, clearly defined switches, direct feedback – the concept emphasises intuitive control rather than screen-based logic. An approach that becomes particularly relevant at high speeds.
Technology and everyday usability
With the Lamborghini Vision Unit (LAVU), the Temerario expands the interface between driver and vehicle. Three cameras document drives and enable both detailed telemetry analysis and personal recordings. At the same time, everyday usability has been further developed. More interior space and additional storage options show that performance and practicality are increasingly being considered together. Individualisation also remains a central theme: with over 400 paint options, visual differentiation is an integral part of the concept.
