The 2025 highlights at a glance

Best of Show: A Grand Prix pioneer takes pole position

This year’s prestigious Trofeo BMW Group – Best of Show jury prize went to the 1934 Alfa Romeo Tipo B (P3) from the Auriga Collection. Designed by Vittorio Jano, this single-cockpit model is considered a milestone in Grand Prix racing. In addition to the coveted trophy, the winner received an 1815 chronograph wristwatch in white gold from A. Lange & Söhne.

Coppa d’Oro Villa d’Este: How a Roadster from the 1950s became a crowd favourite

A 1957 BMW 507 Roadster, presented by Dirk de Groen (USA), won the Coppa d’Oro Villa d’Este audience award. The classic car impressed with its iconic V8 engine and flawless lines – a well-deserved victory for one of the most emotional models in BMW history. A car that embodies the spirit of Villa d’Este like no other.

BMW shows off the future: three premieres, three strong statements

BMW M2 CS: world premiere on Lake Como

On Friday evening, BMW celebrated the world premiere of the new M2 CS. The high-performance two-door model stands for pure driving pleasure and represents the pinnacle of the M2 series. With its sporty look and minimalist design language, it slots seamlessly into the M philosophy – a real statement for anyone who finds a normal’ M2 too tame.

A high-profile superbike: BMW Motorrad presents the Concept RR

With the Concept RR, BMW Motorrad shows how serious the company is about transferring technology from the racetrack to the road. Inspired by the M 1000 RR Superbike World Champion model, the concept was designed as an uncompromising riding machine: over 230 hp, winglets for maximum cornering stability and a lightweight carbon and aluminium frame with airflow.

Missoni’s BMW debut: BMW Concept Speedtop

The Speedtop is an estate that doesn’t want to be one: a three-door body, a leather-lined boot and handcrafted details in Budapest style. Some people were particularly excited about the premiere of Maximilian Missoni’s first concept car for BMW, and they were not disappointed.

Despite mixed weather, the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este 2025 remains one of the absolute highlights of the year for the moments editorial team. With exciting insights, views and perspectives, as well as background discussions and interviews, it is clear that the automotive and motorcycle market will remain very emotional in 2025 and that we are not the only ones to find it fascinating.
