Greek marble and modern design: the Aristide Hotel

Cosmin Todor’s design philosophy is characterised by a blurring of the boundaries between artistic expression and functional spatial design. He approaches his projects with the mindset of a sculptor, regarding furniture and lighting as integral spatial elements. Context is also of immense importance to him. The design of the Aristide Hotel on Syros Island is characterised by the interweaving of neoclassical elements with a contemporary style. Todor combines historical components such as the majestic marble staircase or Doric columns with modern touches with a view to creating an elegant and inviting atmosphere. In the interior, Greek marble lends the space an airy elegance and ties in with the local aesthetic.

Artistic architecture overlooking Ornos Bay

Antonis Kalogridis combines his experience as a theatre director with his design aesthetic to create spaces that appeal to all the senses. The design of the O by Myconian Collection on Mykonos is characterised by a harmonious blend of nature and luxury. Kalogridis worked with raw materials and traditional elements that reflect the timelessness of Ancient Greece. Locally sourced materials such as marble, wood, and stone, and bespoke furniture crafted by Greek artisans, create a sensual experience in the open, airy rooms – with a view of Ornos Bay included.
