From 2 to 6 September, representatives of 69 watch brands will once again gather in Geneva for Geneva Watch Days. Within just a few years, the event has established itself as a fixed part of the international watch calendar — not least because it deliberately follows a different concept from traditional watch fairs.
Instead of taking place on one central exhibition site, the brands are spread across boutiques, hotels and showrooms throughout the city. Visitors move from appointment to appointment, discover new releases in a personal atmosphere and at the same time experience Geneva as one of the most important centres of Swiss watchmaking. It is precisely this openness that gives Geneva Watch Days its special character.
Alongside established manufactures, numerous independent brands are represented, reflecting the creative spectrum of the industry. The programme is complemented by exhibitions, guided tours and panel discussions, which are also spread across various locations in the city. This creates a format that goes far beyond the mere presentation of new watches. Although Geneva Watch Days is primarily aimed at a professional audience, it is also open to interested visitors. This makes the event a good opportunity to discover current collections and new releases in a much more personal setting than at a classic watch fair.
The appeal of Geneva Watch Days lies not in its size, but in its open concept. Within just a few years, the event has established itself and added a format to the international watch calendar that focuses on proximity, exchange and the diversity of Swiss watchmaking.
