Frankfurt/Cologne – A new chapter begins: With the opening of The Florentin in summer 2025, a piece of Frankfurt hotel history is making a return.
Under the management of the Althoff COLLECTION, the former ‘Villa Kennedy’ is being transformed into a stylish urban retreat – and overnight stays at the new ‘Florentin’ are now officially available for bookings from 1 November 2025.
The luxurious hotel in the Sachsenhausen district is sure to impress, not only with its history, but also with its forward-thinking approach. The imposing inner courtyard, the heart of the ensemble, is the inspiration behind the new name: The Florentin – derived from the Latin ‘florere’ (to flourish) – speaks of renewal, vitality and elegance.
At the helm of the hotel is Boris Messmer, an experienced hotelier who is returning to Germany after years of working in top international hotels, including on the Côte d’Azur. ‘It’s a special moment when a hotel opens its doors digitally. Our guests now have the opportunity to be part of this new beginning,’ says Messmer.
With 147 rooms, including 49 suites, exquisite cuisine, a modern spa, and stylish retreats, The Florentin sets new standards when it comes to luxury in urban spaces. Reservations can now be made via the Althoff COLLECTION website.
