Located directly on Fatehsagar Lake in Udaipur, the Wyndham Grand Fatehsagar Lake Udaipur is opening a brand new resort boasting panoramic views of the idyllic Aravalli Hills.
Around 140 rooms and suites are spread across a spacious site that functions like a small neighbourhood of its very own – quiet, green, and close to the city. The architecture draws on Rajasthani traditions without overloading on them. Three restaurants – Shakahari, O’Sian, and the Pyaala Bar – make it easy to stay at the resort all day: light dishes at lunchtime, regional cuisine in the evening, drinks by the water. There is also a spa, a fitness area, and an amphitheatre that can be used for concerts, parties, or movie nights.
The excitement lies outside the rooms. Udaipur is best experienced on the move: early in the morning at the City Palace, on a boat trip to Jag Mandir, on the Fatehsagar Cycling Trail, or on a simple walk along the lake shore. Those who want to see more can book tours into the hills, plan temple visits, or take part in small craft workshops.
The resort is deliberately designed as a starting point: for short excursions, spontaneous ideas, and moments that don’t need to be planned. The combination of lake, nature, and city makes it just as interesting when staying for the weekend as it is for longer breaks.
Those who travel to Udaipur will not only find a hotel here – but a great starting point for discovering new favourite places.
