Strawberries & Cream, Pimm’s and British classics: in 2026, the British Classic Car Meeting St. Moritz will be entirely dedicated to Wimbledon. The long-established event thus takes up one of Britain’s best-known institutions and combines it with the automotive culture that has shaped the Engadin every summer for more than three decades.
From 10 to 12 July, St. Moritz will once again become a meeting point for owners, collectors and enthusiasts of historic vehicles. At the centre are British marques such as Bentley, Rolls-Royce, Jaguar, Aston Martin and MG, which will be seen on the roads of the Engadin and the Alpine passes of Graubünden. The focus is not on speed, but on driving culture, automotive history and the pleasure of exceptional vehicles. The 2026 edition also builds an unusual bridge to the world of tennis. Inspired by Wimbledon, the characteristic elements of the traditional grass-court tournament will run through the entire weekend. For the first time, select vehicles with a direct connection to tennis will also be admitted, including special models such as the Peugeot 205 Roland Garros or special Lacoste editions. In this way, surprising links emerge between sporting, design and automotive history.
The heart of the weekend remains the rally through Graubünden and neighbouring northern Italy. The route leads over Alpine passes, through Engadin valleys and as far as Valtellina — a course that has for years been one of the highlights of the British Classic Car Meeting. The programme is complemented by the traditional Concours d’Élégance, during which selected vehicles are assessed by a specialist jury.
It is precisely this mixture of British tradition, Alpine scenery and automotive passion that gives the event its distinctive character. The British Classic Car Meeting has long been part of summer in St. Moritz — and in 2026, with its Wimbledon theme, it gains an additional and unexpected facet.
