The Swatch watch company has once again shown courage with its new headquarters in Biel, Switzerland, which opened in 2019, creating an ultra-modern home for the long and illustrious history of its prestigious Omega brand.
The 240-metre-long and 35-metre-wide building, designed by celebrity Japanese architect Shigeru Ban, is truly monumental, with a curving silhouette reminiscent of a dragon.
Swiss precision
Inside is a breathtaking museum, Cité du Temps, where history, the present and the future have much to share. Exciting films, rare exhibits and interactive displays guide visitors through the impressive world of Omega. What do astronaut Neil Armstrong, deep-sea explorer Jacques Cousteau and aviation pioneer Bertrand Piccard have in common? An Omega Speedmaster on their wrist. What else?
