Relaxation, boundless freedom, and spectacular expeditions – the editorial team’s current yachting highlights.
Exploring the world from the water: yachts not only offer luxurious comfort, but also the opportunity to travel to remote locations in style and privacy. Whether quiet bays, vibrant harbours, or wild natural settings – modern yachts open up new horizons for exclusive travel experiences.
Built close to the water: the new wallywhy100 yacht
The latest member of the family may not be faster than its predecessors with a top speed of 27 knots, but it is significantly more spacious. During the development of the wallywhy100, the focus was on comfort and achieving that feel-good factor rather than speed. This is certainly apparent, as the inviting sun terrace immediately catches the eye, connecting the yacht’s exterior almost seamlessly to the waves. Despite its single-deck design, the wallywhy100 also offers sufficient space for lounge, dining, and sleeping areas. The darkened windows of the glass superstructure not only create an elegant look, but also blend in perfectly with the surroundings. Perfect for a ‘close to water’ experience.
Alia Yachts makes waves
Alia Yachts has made a name for itself with its exclusive, custom-built superyachts. The latest addition to the family, Yacht SAN, takes luxury and innovation to new heights on every cruise. The centrepiece, alongside the expansive sundeck, is the lounge area with panoramic views, where floor-to-ceiling glass windows allow the unique sea air to permeate the interior of the yacht. While the upper deck is dedicated to pleasure, the lower deck houses five minimalist cabins.
Set a course for adventure with Damen Yachting
If you want to explore the world by boat, but without the crowds found on cruise ships, then Damen Yachting is the place for you. The yachts in the Xplorer series combine a sense of adventure with luxury, and are the perfect choice if you fancy visiting remote destinations. Whether north or south, Xplorers carry their passengers to the most exciting corners of the Earth. After exciting days of travel, they then pamper their guests with their luxurious ambience.
Hermes sets the pace
In April 2025, the time will finally come: the Hermes Catamaran will set sail for the first time, heading for the Galápagos Islands with 20 guests on board. Each suite features a private jacuzzi and a private balcony offering an unparalleled view of untouched nature as it passes by. And because expeditions are exhausting, a butler service is available on board to make your stay as relaxing as possible.
